Our History


Launched from humble beginnings in 1994, entrepreneur/CEO, Fran Dean Bishop, envisioned AFC Management Services as a business support organization focused on improving the health and productivity of employees from coast to coast.


At that time, the link between an organization’s fiscal performance and the wellbeing of its employees was a budding concept many organizations were yet to invest in or conceive. AFC Management Services’ (then Aerobodies Inc) success grew out of its commitment to quality improvement through continuous customer feedback, a knowledgeable and highly experienced management staff and loyal, devoted employees.


As award winning coach and graduate of Georgetown University’s leadership program, Ms. Bishop has extensive knowledge and experience in contracts management, business management, human resource management and communications. Since taking her first job in a movie theater at the age of 12, Ms. Bishop has developed an intimate knowledge of the “customer service experience” through the various industries and companies she’s had the pleasure to serve.


Since its founding, AFC Management has grown from a one-person operation to a company with over 10 employees, 50 contractors and serving companies and federal agencies throughout the United States. Currently headquartered in the shadows of the nation’s capital, Alexandria, Virginia, AFC Management continues to demonstrate its competitive edge as a business support and health technology services firm.
